On P.E.I.'s North Shore sits a modern home with a mono-pitch roof that gets a lot of things right.

 

Upon arrival, you're greeted with a huge wall of windows & patio doors, plus a built-in sun porch - all extending out onto a large wooden deck where plenty of time should be spent soaking in the views.

Along the side of the cedar shingle-clad home, you'll find the main entrance. The space compresses between the stone & gravel walkway and the warm wood ceiling, before unveiling the large interior living area.

Inside, the ceiling follows the pitch up & out toward the water. The cedar cladding continues overhead, and light wood floors create a warmth in the room that balances out the large space provided by the soaring ceilings. A cable rail staircase with a starburst pendant overhead connects the levels without interrupting the sightlines.
