PARKER'S POINT

A waterfront estate on one of PEI's most desired stretches of river.

A rare building site in Prince Edward Island where the water is visible on three sides. Parker's Point is a private peninsula on the beautiful Brudenell River, with red clay cliffs at the shoreline and open fields running back to the tree line.

The timber frame entry portico sets expectations early. Rounded fieldstone columns, heavy exposed joinery with visible hardware, warm wood tones catching the light at dusk. The entrance that slows you down before you've reached the door.

Around the water-facing side, a louvred awning runs the full length of the glazed elevation, and at the right hour, the windows mirror the river back at you in a way that makes the house hard to walk past.

The great room inside is truly special, with a wood-clad vaulted ceiling clad in whitewashed timber. Exposed trusses cross overhead, the fieldstone fireplace climbs the full height of the end wall, and French doors open towards the river beyond.

On a clear morning with the water still and the light coming in low, there aren't many rooms in the province you'd trade it for.
